Training and our People
Birkin Services is firmly committed to training our staff to an optimum standard, in order that they can forge successful careers and contribute high service levels during their time with the company. Birkin Services seeks to pay our operatives above average rates and places a great deal of importance in the training of our staff to BICSc and NVQ qualifications or equivalent. We have a full team of BICSc trainers and assessors working within our ranks.
In addition to bespoke site based training initiatives, we offer our staff genuine career paths and back that up with management training courses. As a result, our turnover of staff is exceptionally low, with more than 50% of our cleaners having more than 3 years service.
Each new employee receives in depth Induction, Health & Safety, Risk Analysis, COSHH, Site Familiarisation, Emergency Evacuation and site procedure training. All training is formally logged on individual Training Record Cards and a central database. This ensures we are able to accurately evaluate employee achievements, as well as formulating effective strategic planning for the future.
